In Russia (probably in other countries too) the game Red7 is published with rules lower than version 1.3 (which is now implemented on BGA).
Most players are used to playing without innovations for additional actions when activating cards 1 and 7, namely:
1 - It is possible to remove a card from any player’s palette, only if it is not the last card in his palette (in 1.3, you can only remove cards from a player with a palette no larger than yours).
7 - if, due to the effect of card 7, another card is placed on the canvas and its number is greater than the number of cards in the player’s palette, then an additional card is taken into the hand (in 1.3, a card placed on the canvas due to the effect of card number 7 never results in receiving new card).

I think it would be convenient to introduce an option that switches rule options between 1.3 and the usual one (I don’t know what its number is).
