Through trial and error I see that it is the upper-left corner of the card but a visual cue would be nice. Second: I wish you could relocate the card simply by clicking another spot in the game space instead of having to “cancel” the initial placement and then replace it (similar to how the tile placement in Patchwork works).

Rejected, displaying overlapped spaces and placement candidates at the same time makes UI really busy.
