Instead of choosing specific train cars, I attempted to tap on the random train car selection. Only twice throughout the game, would it let me click on it but the rest of the game it acted like I clicked on the card. The outline even appeared around it. But then nothing happened. I had to choose a color card instead.

Can you set to "Enable" the "Show buttons for hidden cards selection" ?
To have the choice to take 2 or 1 hidden train car cards in one click.
You will find this PREFERENCE under the TTR board during a game, on Options tab where you have the 11 PREFERENCES that can be changed.
Not the subject, but have you seen that BGA includes now TTR Switzerland game on TTR USA web page!
