I am in a backgammon swiss system, turn-based tournament that just began an hour ago as of this report: en.boardgamearena.com/#!tournament?id=2769

When I click on my supposed match "fish317 To be played cokolada," (as well as the two other following) I get a link without a table number and an error message:

"Sorry, an unexpected error has occurred...

(****hidden for security reason****)"

I also checked "Games in progress" and the game does not show up there nor at the top of the page.

I was playing Race for the Galaxy yesterday and I cannot finish it. I pressed "F5" first but it didn't work. I followed the instructions but it didn't help: imgur.com/1ZWUxQL. I wasn't able to open any page on BGA at that time.

I removed all blocked tournaments in progress.

This bug is linked to a temporary server glitch occurring at the end of the last tournament game in a round. Thus, it is really difficult to reproduce.

Despite the number of vote, it is quite rare (11 occurrences of this bug since 2015).

I need a recent problem to investigate further. If you are in such a tournament, please update this bug report and mail me directly at contact (at) boardgamearena.com with this object "Tournament bug: as agreed" so I cannot miss it.

Thanks for your bug report and help to reproduce this one.

Perhaps it is related to this bug. At least it is the same situation as on tournament en.boardgamearena.com/#!tournament?id=9304 where after 22 months a game is not startet.

It shows message "Game will start automatically in few minutes (or immediately if everyone joins the table).".

Which is clearly not the case since all players are joined and the game has sat there for over a day.

Tournament hasn't ended since the last match seems to not have finished or it has and the tournament does not acknowledge it. It appears in the banner above as still in progress for weeks now.

I think the bug happened as some players were not available for their game and perhaps twwo people who weren't present at the same time got paired up and didn't have matches? Not sure. There is a similar bug that happens when 7 wonders is played and someone quits. The game can't be finished to completion as people without a hand are requested to select a card. Maybe related to that?

This round-robin yams tournament boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=51466 has now been stuck for hours at the final round.

Every player has played all previous rounds and the final round is not starting.

We can't finish this tournament because of this.

had the same problem with this tournament: boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=62419. Not sure how it is supposed to work. Tournament started today, I logged in and found that I missed both games. But I still have banner that says don't log out. Last game is pending. How will it start? how will we know it started?

18.30 yesterday, I created a tournament with 3 people. It was round robin, real time, all rounds were set to start as soon as possible, the game was Kalah. The second round started right after the first, but the third one didn't start. Obviously, we refreshed the site multiple times to see if it solved the problem. We waited for an hour (both players logged on and not doing anything else on the website), but it still didn't start. When I logged on today, I saw that it still hadn't started. In the "encounters"-section it says "to be played".

Over a month that this tournament cannot be finished (boardgamearena.com/tournament?id=62467). The annoyance is basically that I continuously see this image (imgur.com/Cidi1E3). The last 2 matches of the tournament could not be played, as the players were waiting but the matches didn't start. There are other 7 tournaments with the same problem (62473 to 62479).

I created a swiss2 tournament with 4 players games. But only 3 players have registered.
So the tournament is open and not running.
The system should have cancelled the tournament without enough players automatically.

Dear Board Game Arena.com,

Please consider that this report is from a non-expert computer and internet user who saw personal computing introduced to the consumer public in the 1980's but understands very little about it. During a non-tournament game of "Hoarders" and another possibly different game this week (memory fails here) a certain technical difficulty prevented me from taking my turn for the rest of the day. Typically, my turn randomly is the first move of the game. The ability to send typed/keyed messages was preserved, thereby enabling a courteous termination of the attempt at that particular game. However no other games were allowed for the day while everyone continued to await the completion of my first turn. Later on this week, a pertinent email message informed me that my karma rating had been penalized. Furthermore, the mindless game itself was found to then be ready to accept computer input, and to apparently complete my first turn. Of course, all of my game friends were long gone.

Please solve this issue, almost a year has passed and all the tournaments still have the same problem. Our homepage is always bothered by that tournament and I feel you are not addressing this issue.

Ich bin am 15.02.2022 bei einem Spieltisch ( Marco Polo ll Im Auftrag des Khan ) mit 2 anderen Mitspielern beigetreten. Als ich das Spiel akzeptiert habe, wurde das Spiel nicht gestartet. Laut meinem Bildschirm musste ein Mitspieler das Spiel noch akzeptieren damit es gestartet werden kann. Anscheinend wurde derweil das Spiel bei den anderen beiden Mitspielern schon gestartet. Während mein Bildschirm immer noch die Warteposition anzeigte, bekam ich eine Strafe wegen Bedenkzeitübertretung. Daraufhin habe ich das Spiel verlassen.

Bitte Strafe löschen.

When Im playing splendor, my game start page does not show. As a result I have received minus marks for my performance saying I wasnt able to finish the game. I am refreshing the page and trying to get it going but to no avail. This has happened repeatedly.
